Challengers Games Announces [Project B]

A new start-up studio, Challengers Games, has announced their first title currently in development, [Project B]. [Project B] is set to be a FPS/TPS (First Person and Third Person Shooter) MOBA, being developed on PC, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and the Xbox Series consoles. The scope seems to include an eventual extension into both iOS and Android, created in Unity, with an Anime-like graphic style. Not much is known yet about this project, but what we do know is that the team behind this game is a powerhouse.

Challengers Games is led by Tamura Koji, previously of Bluehole Studio at KRAFTON, with his work on TERA for the PlayStation and Xbox, as well as the development of Eternal Return: Lumia Experiment with Nimble Neuron. In addition to Tamura Koji, the team is comprised of industry veterans, such as Sungyul Lee, Byungsu Kim, Sungil Jun and others, with past work in games like Black Desert. If that wasn’t impressive enough, the team also includes Dong-won Kim (also known as Tricky) who was in charge of the Cinematic / Cutscenes of Dark Souls 2, Dark Souls 3 and Elden Ring. The team was built after years of working together on and off, and maintaining a relationship over those years. As such, the studio was then created from the ground up.

Located in Seoul, South Korea, the team makes promises of creating games with the 4 important principles that makes Challengers Games: Diversity, Passion, Togetherness and Challenge.

"We have over 10 years of accumulated experience in game development. From the launch of TERA, on Consoles, to the development of Black Desert on Consoles and Mobile, and the art production with the cinematics and cutscene productions in Dark Souls and Elden Ring. We are teaming up together, working on exciting and unique titles that players will love to play again and again. Welcome to Challengers Games."
